The trade fair featured many companies from China and Japan. Most of the exhibition halls were occupied by automated printing machines from China, designed for very large companies. We were particularly impressed by the technologies from Scodix, promoting their unique print embellishment systems. Also noteworthy is Landa Digital Printing with its nanographic printing. KURZ showcased futuristic product protection solutions, including 3D foils and 3D coatings, which were among the more interesting topics for our company. Fujifilm presented structural coatings, and Canon demonstrated its 3D printing technology.
Sustainable development is becoming an increasingly important element in many industries, including printing. The production of recycled papers and products designed for recycling is becoming standard. During the trade fair, we participated in a conference dedicated to this topic – ecological packaging – improving recycling for a circular economy. Representatives from three companies debated eco products, their components, and their prices – which are usually higher than non-eco products. The conference was led by Stora Enso, Henkel, and Menichetti. Nowadays, practically every company and wholesaler offers products in these categories, and ECO and sustainable labels are becoming more common.
Such trade fairs are excellent places to promote the brand and acquire valuable clients, and Drupa 2024 was no exception – we established many valuable business contacts and learned about the latest technologies in the industry. It is an honor to represent our entire team at such a prestigious event.
