The Germania series is more than just a coin to us. It is the “jewel in the crown” of Germania Mint – the project where it all began. Over the years, our heroine has evolved, becoming a symbol of courage, honor, and heritage. Today, in 2026, Germania reaches another milestone in her journey, taking her place on the throne as the Queen. Following the enthusiastic reception of her image during this year’s World Money Fair in Berlin, the time has come to expand this collection with additional formats.
It is worth mentioning that this year’s flagship series offer includes more than just precious metals. Recently, we celebrated the premiere of the 2026 Germania 1/2 oz Copper BU – our first-ever copper coin, which has met with immense interest from collectors seeking alternative and unique forms of bullion.
More possibilities – 2026 Germania in fractional versions
Observing rising metal prices and changing market needs, we have decided to introduce a wide range of weights for our main series. This allows every collector and investor to become part of this story by choosing a variant perfectly suited to their portfolio.
Choosing smaller weights is not only a matter of aesthetics but, above all, a range of practical benefits for the investor.
Why is it worth buying fractional coins?
Their greatest advantage is exceptional flexibility and liquidity. By holding a portfolio based on fractions, you gain precise control over your resources. Should the need for cash arise, you can liquidate just one small coin instead of parting with an entire ounce of bullion. Fractions act as your “investment change,” allowing for much more efficient capital management in shifting market conditions.
The collectible and aesthetic aspects are also significant. Due to their lower unit price, fractional coins are an ideal idea for a prestigious and valuable gift. It is a keepsake that will not lose its significance over time; in fact, it may gain value thanks to limited mintages and the unique design for which Germania Mint is renowned. For many collectors, it is also a unique opportunity to complete a full series across all available metals and sizes, creating an impressive collection with high visual and market potential.
