This six-part story, cast in silver, takes a darker, more dramatic tone than the brand’s previous releases, portraying the harrowing journey of a warrior whose life is marked by loss, sacrifice, and the relentless struggle for what he holds most dear. Each coin represents a chapter in this tale, and together they form a cohesive saga of revenge, redemption, and the birth of a legend.
Bödvar – the birth of a legend
For centuries, the name Bödvar has inspired awe. In Germanic myths, Bödvar was a warrior capable of taking the form of a bear. Our protagonist, growing up in a small Germanic village, had no idea that his own story would one day approach the epic scale of those legendary tales. Affectionately called “the little bear,” Bödvar lived peacefully with his beloved Astrid and their daughter Sunneva – until fate struck mercilessly. In a single instant, he lost everything he loved and was forced onto the brutal path of a warrior.
The first coin – a tale of loss
The first coin in the series opens the saga with a dramatic event: a warm, peaceful autumn instantly turns to chaos as enemies descend on Bödvar’s village, and the night is torn apart by flames and screams.
The design captures the moment of his awakening – anger swelling with every breath and strength ready to break free – while also depicting the last, heartrending moments with Astrid, from whom he learns of Sunneva’s abduction; her quiet whisper becomes a vow.
Thus begins the warrior’s path, full of harrowing choices, heroism, and challenges that will shape his legend.
