We present Arnhild, the fourth and final goddess, daughter of Odin, introduced by Germania Mint as part of the Valkyries series. This exceptional coin concludes a cycle that began at the gates of the stronghold, symbolically referencing the idea of the world’s cyclical nature, changing seasons, and the eternal circle of life.
The obverse of the coin features Arnhild – an archer and guardian of the fortress – depicted surrounded by eagles, symbols of strength, courage, and wisdom. The Valkyrie is shown wearing hardened leather armor and a hooded cloak, enabling her to blend seamlessly into the forest while safeguarding her domain. On Arnhild’s belt is the Ingwaz rune, representing continuity of life, abundance, and protection. The design also includes Huginn and Muninn, the two ravens that serve as Odin’s eyes.
The reverse showcases Germania Mint’s distinctive motif alongside the eagle, Arnhild’s symbolic animal. The centerpiece of the shield displays Germanic runes, accompanied by details about the year of issue, denomination, and metal composition.
The coin, designed by Mateusz Frąckowiak, will be released in a mintage of 25,000 pieces. Its authenticity is guaranteed by an accompanying Certificate of Authenticity.
